Moments in Music – Music from the Movies

Films employ music to make comedy funnier, tragedy more poignant and to build tension. Music establishes the mood and sets the scene. A film score is written explicitly to accompany action, enhance drama and create emotional impact. Local musician Graham Ball will discuss film history and the key composers who have turned film music into an art form.
