Every day In the Cove (ITC) is asked (either via PM or our Email address) questions about living in Lane Cove.
Here are the top five questions:
Where do I find a Justice of the Peace in Lane Cove?
To provide residents with a more predictable JP service, you can now have your documents witnessed by a JP at the Lane Cove Council Civic Centre Monday to Friday between 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Lane Cove Library also has a JP service on Wednesday afternoons between 1pm to 3pm. If you require a JP outside of these times, you may also search for a JP in your local area through the Justice of the Peace Register.
Fay Frischer provides a community service in the Lane Cove Library providing legal advice on Monday nights from 6pm-8pm at Lane Cove Library. A Solicitor (who holds a current practising certificate) can sign any document that requires witnessing by a Justice of the Peace.
Several ITC Facebook Fans have also advised they will witness documents as a JP – the easiest person to contact is Ivanna at Conveyancing Headquarters in Riverview (next door to Riverview Reality) at Yorks Corner. Check out their Facebook page for contact details. Ivanna just asks that you call or email and make an appointment, otherwise, she is happy for you to pop in, however, you may have to wait if she is seeing a client or has a client scheduled to come in.
Another person who is happy to help you out is Adam from Aussie Lane Cove. You can pop in and see Adam at Aussie Lane Cove, Mon-Fri 9a.m.-5p.m. (opposite Belle Property). He is happy for you to pop in anytime, however, to avoid any clashes it’d be better if you call or email and make an appointment.

Would you ask your Facebook Fans if they could recommend a good cleaner?
We have been asked this question many times. ITC has not used this service, but it is local. For contact details go to their Facebook page More Time 4 You.
We have some small work to be done around the house, have your Facebook Fans recommended a good handyman?
Whenever we ask for a recommendation for a person to do some small (and sometimes larger) jobs around the house, two names keep on coming up:
Mark Danielian has also been highly recommended. According to our ITC liker he does a range of handyman work. Great painter, decking, general repairs etc thanks again His contact details are:

This is an example of some work Mark completed for an ITC Facebook Fan (he polished the floors)
Would your Facebook Fans be able to recommend a good Nanny or babysitter?
We have received some great Facebook feedback about a local company that offers nanny and babysitting services – Saintly Arrivals.

If you are offering any casual positions or know of anyone who might be hiring.
