Since In the Cove started we have relied on our roving reporters in Lane Cove to keep us up to date on all things in Lane Cove.
In the Cove started three years ago, since that time we have expanded and the In the Cove team consists of Ms In The Cove and her offsider Sue (pictured below).
However it is very difficult to be in many places at one time and we rely so much on our trusty Roving Reporters. Now it is time to give back to those wonderful people, with our Roving Reporter of the Month Award. The person chosen as our best roving reporter of the month will receive a beautiful certificate and a $50 voucher to a Lane Cove business featured in our business directory. This is a game of skill, not chance and winners will be picked on the basis of the quality and accuracy of the information provided.
So what does a Roving Reporter do?
In the Cove’s mantra is ‘What Happens In the Cove Stays In the Cove’. In other words, if it is happening in the Cove we will tell you all about it.
In the Cove aims are to:

- Highlight the Local Residents of Lane Cove and provide a glimpse into their lives;
- Provide a forum for all Lane Cove community organisations, charity groups and sporting groups to connect with Lane Cove residents and to advertise their events free of charge;

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Foundation Sponsors. The businesses below agreed to fund our website (no questions asked). It is a wonderful example of community involvement and where possible please support these businesses.
ITC has had a love/hate relationships with Dentists over the years, however since starting ITC and meeting the team at Apple Dental my thoughts have changed. Apple Dental has invested in the best equipment to make sure that you have a comfortable dental experience. With their CEROC equipment they can undertake difficult work in one session. This week Apple Dental celebrated 23 years in Lane Cove. They also recently won an award for community sponsorship. Apple Dental was one of the first to put their hand up to become a foundation sponsor. Read our blog here about Mark Casiglia.
Lane Cove Orthodontics
ITC first became aware of Lane Cove Orthodontics when they sponsored Miss ITC’s school’s main fundraising evening (and they have done it every year since). They were so generous and gave away a treatment for a live auction. I will never forget the auctioneer saying Don’t be Bucky c’mon get Lucky and win this auction. Since that time Miss ITC has become a patient of DR T REX (yes that is correct). LCO is such a professional practice. ITC highly recommends this practice.
Trendsetter Travel & Cruise Centre
When you are looking to book an overseas trip, it seems like a good idea to book it yourself on the internet. You think it is going to be so easy to book all your own travel. Well guess what it is not. You really need someone with extensive knowledge to tell you the tips and tricks. ITC has received some glowing recommendations from people who have used Trendsetter Travel. One family recently returned from Vietnam and Cambodia and said the trip was so thoroughly planned with guides everyday all arranged by Trendsetter Travel. The bottom line is they know their stuff.

Zjoosh is a Lane Cove success story. They started in Lane Cove and after our recent survey (which you can view here), we found out that Zjoosh is Lane Cove’s favourite shop. New stock is always coming into the shop and it is the best place to find an affordable and lovely birthday gift or hostess gift.
Lane Cove Physio
For years all my sporty friends (who inevitably end up with an injury) kept on talking about a great physio called Jack at the end of Longueville Road. Well after a recent knee injury I now know Jack from Lane Cove Physio. I am now a regular user of their hydrotherapy pool. The pool has recently been converted to Ozone. You spend time in the pool with a qualified physio. They have a sports injury clinic on a Monday night where you can go along for a free assessment.
I was introduced to Infinity Hair by a friend and I love it. Nothing is ever a problem. They are so accommodating and their service charges are very reasonable. Sit and relax and catch up with friends, sip coffee from one of the local cafes and enjoy the service and the easy parking.
Before having your hair done at Infinity Hair you can relax by having a facial at The Beautician. They also do great eyebrows. Zena and Cathy are a delight and you will feel relaxed and ready to take on the world after a visit to the Beautician. If you would like to read some of Zena’s beauty tips just click here. Plenty of parking is always available in the carpark, directly behind the salon. The carpark is located on Johnston Lane and can be entered from Beatrice Street.

Vision Personal Training Lane Cove
ITC has first had knowledge of Vision Personal Training. If you find gyms intimidating, then a boutique personal training studio is the place for you. Each trainer there knows your name. Each trainer takes a holistic approach, it is about food and training. They have some great group classes. They also have some very informative food and nutrition seminars. Recently new owners have taken over Vision PT Lane Cove. The new owners come from the Vision studio in Lindfield, They bring the same focus as before and will continue to build on the community, on getting great results and having a happy positive studio for clients to train in and for the team to work in. They believe the best environment for the team and the clients is a stable nurturing one.
Buying and Selling a house is stressful. You need someone to take your hand and guide you through the process. If you are going to use anyone, why not use the winner of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers Award for Professionalism and Best Practice 2014. Ivanna Bazzano-Hymers has been a Licensed Conveyancer for over 14 years and has extensive experience, having worked in many Law firms and Conveyancing offices across Sydney.
