Welcome to our business wrap up for January. There are a few exciting shops on the horizon.
Opening Soon
The Source Bulk Foods will be opening in February. They were due to open in January, however we all know how hard it is to arrange tradies etc during January.
Lettuce Tempt You has closed and is being rebranded as an Asian Salad Bar. This is a sample of one of their salads they posted on their Facebook site. The shop will be called Greenhouse Salads
Lane Cove’s newest child care centre, First Learning, will be opening in early February and they are having an open day on 30 January 2015. Take your kids along to meet Peppa Pig and the Bubble Man (not the bubble boy – do you get that one??)
A new massage centre will be opening in the Anytime Fitness building. It is called the Massage Collective. The idea behind this centre is you become a member and can treat yourself to a massage once a month. An opening date has not been advised.
Opened
The new restaurant at the Lane Cove Country Club is called Hayworth. Miss ITC recommends the Shepherd’s Pie.
Looking to pop the question (and gals, it is a leap year)? A new business has been set up by a Lane Cove local called My Proposal Co. If you want to plan a stunning proposal, this company will do all the leg work.
Closing/Closed
After months of speculation, Thomas Dux confirmed that it will close at the end of February. There is a rumour that a well known organic grocer is interested in the space, however ITC has contacted them and they have not returned our Emails.
BBQ Kitchen has closed. The company that owns this shop (and Noodle King) went into administration last year.
Refurbished
The iconic Apple Dental building is being repainted. If you love the colour, it is Dulux “Otto’s Boy” which is a dark grey but it looks like it may have a tinge of purple to it.
Rebranded
Longueville Road Chiropractic Centre is now branded as Renude Laser Clinic, but the building is still home to other businesses, including Body Fusion. Renude Laser Clinic removes your tattoos.
New Owners
Lane Cove Veterinary Hospital have a new owner, Dr Christopher Sun (BVSc MRCVS) (pictured here with his cat Bingo!)

Two Lane Cove sisters run a business called DMC Promotions. DMC Promotions specialises in managing promotional staff and event and marketing campaigns Australia wide.
Local Lee Jay Miller runs a Property Maintenance Business – cleaning, gardening primarily for Strata Properties) You can contact him on 0409 298797
A lane cove local has set up a photography business called Be by Sumathi
