The Bureau Of Meteorology predicted a blustery weekend with heavy rainfall and winds; they were spot on. Lane Cove has trees down everywhere and Lane Cove North, Linley Point and Riverview have all lost power. Here is a pictorial wrap-up of the weekend. Thank you to our Roving Reporters who have done a great job. Everyone appreciates your pictures and videos.

Central Avenue tree down. A tree was also down there yesterday. It is just down from the One Seed Patisseries corner.
Little Street New Residential Development
Lane Cove Country Club is awash with rain. Kids were loving it. They had their boogie boards out and were surfing the greens.

Sutherland Street Lane Cove – Exit blocked onto Centennial Road
Centennial Avenue
Phoenix Street Lane Cove
A concerned resident had written to the Lane Cove Council about this exact tree advising them that it was dead and that it should be removed, because if it fell it would hit power lines. That is exactly what happened.
Lane Cove West
Best Street Lane Cove – Over 220 units impacted. They could not enter or exit the Best Street Complex
Riverview
Warraroon Road is blocked off. Power is still out in parts of Riverview and not expected back before 6.30pm.
Longueville
The Longueville Sporting Club flag pole is looking worse for wear.
Rocks slide at Stuart Street Longueville
Lane Cove North
Over 500 residents have power out in Lane Cove North.
Possums Corner Kindy in Lane Cove North – check tomorrow before sending your child to see if it is open. There may be some roof damage – it is hard to tell.
This car received a fair bit of damage on Helen Street Lane Cove North.
Rotary field view of the Lane Cove River
At Rotary Field: our river is really fangin' it. And the mangroves smell of sulphur… surely not still dredging up the sordid past of local industry?

Chatswood West
Artarmon
If you are thinking of driving to the Artarmon Station, you will be diverted.
If power is out and it is not listed on the Ausgrid Power Outage map you can report it here – if you have your electricity bill handy, it will help you provide the correct information (you need our NIM).
