Fiji Cyclone Winston Helping Hand
In February 2016 Local business owners, Anthony and Annie of Service Heroes visited Fiji for a holiday where they experienced Cyclone Winston. They were very touched with the outstanding support and service they received from the staff at the hotel they were they staying at The Intercontinental Fiji Resort and Spa during the cyclone despite most of their homes being affected and damaged by the cyclone.
The hotel management and staff re assured them with advice on how to stay safe, they entertained the guests with games, food, drinks and beds to sleep in as they could not access their rooms for a few days.
Once Anthony and Annie returned, they were so grateful and couldn’t imagine not acting and giving back to those whom they formed a close relationship with over the one week stay in Fiji and learning about what happened to their villages and family homes.
They decided to send across over 20 fans and lights for the staff and their villages to use in their homes as they knew the homes can become very hot and they will need the fans to help cool down. The management from Intercontinental were over the moon and could not thank Anthony and Annie enough.
