In the Cove has seen many businesses come and go in Lane Cove so it is nice to be able to tell you about one business that has been in Lane Cove since 1996.

Burns Bay Physiotherapy (BBP) was established in Lane Cove in 1996 by sisters Ann Ross and Jill Ross, who are Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists. The practice currently has 4 Physiotherapists who are all well qualified, with a range of experience. BBP are all about working with you to help solve your pian.

Solving Your Pain

The BBP team is committed to getting their clients back to full pain-free function doing what they want to do in life. They don’t like hearing people say, ‘I can’t do that because of my pain’. It doesn’t matter if you want to run a marathon, play with the kids or sit without pain; they are committed to helping you to achieve your goals.

At Burns Bay Physiotherapy, they aim to solve your pain and injury, not simply make you feel better for the short term. They know solving pain can take time. For this reason, they have now more staff so they can spend the time understanding your pain and how it affects you in your life. BBP believe it is important to spend time listening to their patients to understand their goals. They work with you to get a good result from treatment. They know it takes time to fully assess in detail all possible contributing factors that are stopping you from moving comfortably while doing activities you want to do.

They understand when you have pain that limits your ability to do activities you need or want to do can affect those around you. For this reason they are happy for you to bring your loved ones with you to your treatment sessions

At Burns Bay Physiotherapy, they aim to be thorough in their assessment of your nerves, muscles and joints. They understand pain mechanisms and the relationships between pain and movement. They want to get you back moving freely so you can do the things you want to do.

Whether your problems are new or of a long-standing nature they can help by getting to the bottom of your condition to improve your quality of life for the long term. If your problem is of long standing nature or complicated, it is best to book a double appointment to give BBP extra time to help solve your pain and injury.

Meet the Newest Member of the BBP Team – Dom Russell

Dom grew up locally and recently graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Whilst studying he volunteered as a physiotherapist at various sporting events including the City to Surf, GPS Basketball and State and local Netball. He has also worked as a volunteer Physiotherapist with disabled children in Vietnam and with local intellectually disabled members of our community helping them to integrate into the community.

Dom brings with him first-hand experience in a variety of sports including surfing, running (half marathons), rugby, touch football, swimming and tennis. This also means he has had experience of being a patient at Physiotherapy practices. Being an injured athlete gives great insight into what it feels like to be on the receiving end of treatment.

Where is Burns Bay Physiotherapy located?

BBP is located in the Burns Bay Shops on Burns Bay Road next door to Renegade Cycles and near IGA Agora. Parking is easy.
