A man suffering a gunshot wound to his shoulder was found on a footpath opposite Mowbray Public School last Sunday night.

Meet the Candidates

This week, In the Cove, hosted a Meet the Candidates Function at the Lane Cove Community Hub.  Each candidate was given 4 minutes to speak and then a Q and A afterwards.  The main issues:

  • Confirmation was sought that if a major party had a voluntary amalgamation policy, the local councillors would not support this policy;
  • Confirmation that councillors would do everything in their power to halt further large developments in Lane Cove; and
  • Confirmation that councillors would not reduce green spaces (in particular the Lane Cove Golf Club).

Dedicated Parking for Lane Cove Businesses Behind Coles near Sera Street

We have had a few people ask us about the new line marking and signage at the bottom of the Coles Car Park near Sera Street. The Rosenthal Car Park redevelopment will start in two weeks. The Lane Cove Council advised that they had monitored these car parking spots and they were very rarely used. They are now being allocated on a ballot system for Lane Cove Retailers.
