ITC loves Australia Day! We get a day off to spend with family and friends, relaxing, eating, drinking and making merry.

Both Woolworths and Coles will be open on Australia Day. Nearly all the cafes and restaurants in Lane Cove will be open (there are some cafes that never open on a public holiday).
Yogabowl is holding an outside Yoga session on Australia Day. Join Yogabowl in the great outdoors for a relaxing Australia Day Weekend of Yoga in the shade of the Tennis Court. All levels welcome to these multi-level classes. BYO Yoga mat if you have one, and we’ll loan you one if not.

Having a BBQ at Home – Head to Hummerston’s
For those kicking back with a cold one, you might well be thinking BBQ, or even more specifically, Sausage Sizzle. Did you know that it is UN-Australian not to have a sausage on Australia Day?!
Well the crazy gang at Hummerston’s Gourmet Meats have just the banger for Australia Day – it is their famous Lamb, Cheese & Vegemite snags, pictured below.
Need something sweet to have after your snags? The Cake Man can whip you up an Australia Day Cake.
If you need to stock up on drinks in advance of the day, Porter’s Liquor also stock a good range of grog, and they will also deliver your order, along with ice and glasses too if required! Make sure you contact them before Australia Day to arrange delivery.
The Longueville Sporting Club has free bowls and a BBQ.
Australia Day at the Longueville Hotel
The Longueville Hotel is kicking off Australia Day with the Goose Island Hoppy Hour! on 25th January from 6pm-9pm, $10 pints of the Goose Island poured fresh from their terrace bar! The Longueville Hotel will be open from 12 pm on Australia Day.
The Fireworks have been moved from Darling Harbour to Circular Quay – you may be able to see some of the fireworks from a vantage point in Longueville, but there will be no fireworks on the Bridge.
Happy Australia Day Lane Cove!
