Lane Cove Week in Review 1st to 8th July 2018

This week we had truck incidents, local business changes, some food tasting, and plenty more. Our fab cover photo was taken by Kris Egan, back in May 2003.

Truck Overturns on Longueville Road

On Sunday 8 July, a Garbage Truck overturned on Longueville Road, as it was turning right, heading towards the bus interchange/Pacific Highway. There was also a car involved.

We were sent several reports and photos from Roving Reporters, including this one from Daniel Strassberg.

Lost Dog – Urgent Medical Attention Needed

Has anyone seen Beans? She has been missing from Riverview since Saturday 7 July. She was wearing a black jumper with a white skull and crossbones on it. She is a very friendly dog. Any information would be valuable. Please contact us if you’ve seen Beans.

Long Truck Stuck

On Thursday 5 July there was excitement and traffic delays at the junction of Finlayson Street and Coxs Lane when a long truck transporting construction site offices got caught up on some electrical wires attached to a house. Not only did they block the junction, but part of the house roof was also pulled off! Thanks to the Roving Reporters for these pics.

School Holidays Are Here!

There is still time to plan activities for kids during school holidays. We have ideas for all ages (including HSC study help and free boot camp for teenagers). There are art classes, netball clinics, science workshops, NRL clinics, AFL clinics and much more. There are also courses to help your kids who might need a bit of help with their confidence and learning skills. Full details HERE.

Sneak Preview of Louisiane

During the week we were lucky enough to have been invited to sample some of the dishes that are on the menu of – the about to open any day now – cafe/restaurant, Louisiane. Louisiane is located where Lodge used to be, and it will be serving American Grill meets Asian Fusion cuisine.

We particularly liked the Mushroom & Truffle Arancini, and the Korean Style Beef Ribs (insert drooling emoji).
