Wow what a difference a year makes on the Lane Cove dining scene.  So many great restaurants opened in 2018 and our favourites continued to introduce new and exciting offerings. Lillah Kitchen

Lillah Kitchen has proved to be very popular in Lane Cove and two of their most popular dishes are the Middle Eastern Lamb Taco and the 12 hour Cooked Lamb Shoulder 300 grams with roasted pumpkin tahini.  Lillah Kitchen is now on Uber Eats and Menulog so you don’t even have to leave home to taste their food (but with daylights savings you can eat Al Fresco and enjoy the longer evenings).

Four Frogs Creperie

Lane Cove is loving Four Frogs Creperie. It’s a very popular place for brunch, lunch and dinner.  Four Frogs Creperie is more than just a French restaurant – it’s a real French creperie, with full table service, owned and operated by four French men (the “four frogs”).  Four Frogs tells us that the prosciutto, tomato, swiss cheese and fresh basil galette is very popular (a galette is a savoury crepe).

The Nutella Crepe is very popular with kids and adults and once you have one – you will be back.

Shorties Lane Cove

There are so many popular dishes to choose from at Shorties that it’s hard to know where to start. Shorties regulars are raving about the Cauliflower Mornay with smoked paprika oil, pistachio and cranberry and the Slow cooked beef cheek, kale mash and crispy shallots.

Encasa

Encasa told ITC that Lane Cove loves their Paella. This is a traditional Valencian rice dish combining rich flavours of saffron, chicken and seafood. Cooked and served in a single pan, Paella is served hot and shared with friends with a jug of sangria and some tapas for a full Spanish food fiesta!

Encasa serves both traditional and modern variations of Paella. Paella Valenciana saffron rice with chicken & seafood & Fideua De Pulpo Pasta Paella with octopus. Serves a min of 2 people.

Kasina Korean Eatery

Kasina is another new kid on the block and the reviews have been good.  The Korean Fried Chicken has been a huge hit.  The owners live in Lane Cove and wanted to bring a touch of Korea to Lane Cove.   All their chicken is marinated for 18 hours in their special mix which makes the chicken more tender.  Not only can you order original crispy? They have other options like Hot and Spicy, Soy Garlic, Honey Butter and more.

Little Red Robin

Little Red Robin Restaurant is Lane Cove’s newest restaurant and it is making a buzz. It’s a cosy, edgy and welcoming restaurant and wine bar and their Oysters are a huge hit.  One member of the ITC team tasted the Oysters and then immediately booked for the next night for her wedding anniversary just after tasting the Oysters and nothing more (you know what they say about Oysters!!).
