Lane Cove Library has returned to its regular operating hours this week. You’ll now be able to visit the Library during the following hours:
Monday – Thursday: 9:30 am – 9:00 pm
Friday – Saturday: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday: 9:30am – 2:00 pm
Capacity limits and social distancing still apply and you will be required to check-in via the Service NSW app upon your arrival.
Lane Cove Libraries App
Lane Cove Library now has an app.
Download the Lane Cove Library App to your phone or tablet to:
- Search the catalogue and reserve items
- Find and book Library events
- Check your Library account and link other family members cards
- Save your Library barcode to your phone and use it when you borrow
- Scan the ISBN of any book and check to see if it is held in the Library
Download the app from either the App store or the Play Store
Sign in by scanning your Library card barcode or type in the number beginning X020…and your pin or password.
Library to Your Door
Don’t worry if you can’t make it to the library they are still offering Library To Your Door.
The service, operated by Lane Cove Library, was Australia’s first seamless online-shopping style public library experience, called Library to Your Door.
For a small fee of $2.50, time-poor residents can reserve items and have them delivered within three working days of the item becoming available.
A pickup service for any items borrowed from the Library is also available. The pickup service costs $1 per item.
Library to Your Door is available to residents aged 18 years and older who live within the Lane Cove Local Government Area.
Residents can order an unlimited number of items for delivery.

The Yarn Hunters Hill
The YARN is an innovative library and community space in Hunters Hill.
They are delivering a range of activities from story time to village talks, and a opens in a new windowclick and collect library service in partnership with Lane Cove Council.
The YARN is located in the arcade at 64 Gladesville Road.
The YARN is open from 10am to 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and by appointment or for events and workshops (see What’s On) at other times. The space is also available for hire.

West Chatswood Library services update:
- Printing, photocopying and scanning services are temporarily unavailable.
- After hours returns chute is open.
- Items returned after hours will not be returned from your account until the branch library’s next opening day, please contact staff on 9777 7900 if you have any questions.
- Branch libraries are unable to take any payments at this time. Cashless payments are accepted at Chatswood Library only.

Lane Cove Library Background
Lane Covians love their books and their libraries. The Lane Cove Library “has the highest borrowing rate per capita in NSW – this has been the case since 2002/03.
The current Lane Cove Library was officially opened in July 2010 and is quite a drawcard for those living ITC.
