Blockbuster Weekend In Lane Cove 10 and 11 September 2022

This weekend, Lane Cove is coming alive with so many activities (many of them free).

Jesuit Mission’s Bazaar at St Ignatius Riverview

It’s back!! A highlight on the Lane Cove Calendar is the Jesuit Mission’s Bazaar which is being held on 10th September 2022 at St Ignatius College Riverview.

Up to 8,000 people of all ages will flock to the event for a day of activities, bargains, rides, music, shows, raffles, prizes, food, spruiking and all out fun. Although the event is sure to be a crowd pleaser, it is about much more than just entertainment and enjoyment on the day.

All funds raised from the annual event go to support Jesuit Mission’s community development work in over ten countries across Asia and Africa.

Lane Cove Theatre – In a Nutshell

There’s something for every taste when Lane Cove Theatre Company presents its 10-minute play showcase: In a Nutshell, over the weekend Friday 9th to Sunday 11th September 2022.

As part of the Lane Cove Festival, In a Nutshell highlights the talents of local actors, directors and writers in a short series of quickfire performances.

With comedies, thrillers, romances and more, the 10-minute short play format means there’s something for everyone over the short, sharp season of three fun-packed performances!

The audience will be given an opportunity to vote on their favourite play as part of the People’s Choice Awards.  Book tickets here.

Lane Cove Fun Run

It’s not too late to register for the Lane Cove Fun Run.

The Lane Cove Fun Run is an amazing community event and raises money for the local community and 10% of net proceeds go to Sydney Community Services.

The Lane Cove Fun Run is 100% organised by volunteers and its sponsors are all local businesses who believe in the importance of giving back to their local community.

When?

Sunday 11th September 2022

5 km – Walk or Run – 7:30 am

2km – The LONGueville Family Dash – 8:30 am

If you are part of the LONGueville Family Dash you are encouraged to enter into the FUN of the event, dress up, get your kids to dress up and dress up those prams!

Get your morning coffee and come down to the Plaza for a special Lane Cove Festival edition of this monthly free event. Our special guests are performing on the bandstand to keep your Saturday morning lively. No bookings required.

Plant for Wildlife at Stringybark Creek

Saturday 10 September, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, Stringybark Creek, Mindarie Park, Cnr Mindarie St & Kullah Pde, Lane Cove North

Join Bushcare for some tree planting, bush activities and a short nature walk at Bushcare’s Big Day Out along beautiful Stringybark Creek. All welcome to this fun, family-friendly morning, with activities suiting most fitness levels.

A great way to spend time in nature whilst caring for your environment. Tools and morning tea provided.

A joint initiative of Stringybark Creek Residents Association and Lane Cove Council.
