Riverside Spotlight Walk

Friday 4 November, 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm,
Blackman Park / Ventemans Reach, Lane Cove West

Go for a twilight walk along the river and see what wildlife comes out at night! Spot possums, search for geckoes and listen for bats with our bat detector.

Bring a torch and wear sturdy shoes. Suitable for ages 7 years and up. This is a free event.

Greenwich Baths Family Fun Day

Sunday 6 November, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm Albert Street, Greenwich

Whether you are a frequent visitor or have been meaning to try out this hidden gem, head to the Greenwich Baths for a fun day out at this beautiful harbourside location! Children enter the Baths for free, with a full paying adult, and together you can enjoy the Harbour’s welcoming waters or play along the shoreline.

Screen on the Green: Surf’s Up

Thursday, 10 November, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Burns Bay Reserve, Riverview

Bring your picnic rug and snacks and join us at Burns Bay Reserve for the fun family movie Surf’s Up (G).

This animated feature follows Cody Maverick as he enters his first pro penguin surfing competition. Inspired by his hero Big Z he believes winning the competition will bring him the respect he believes he deserves.

But when he comes face to face with washed up old surfer The Geek he begins to understand that the greatest champion isn’t always the one that comes first. No bookings necessary. This is a free event.

Picnic by the River at Carisbrook House – CANCELLED

Sunday 13 November, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm, 334 Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove

Enjoy a picnic in a box as you sit at Carisbrook Historic House and listen to the Tenella Jazz Group, playing jazz, Latin and popular music with many vocals.

Bring your own drinks and come at 12:30 pm to collect your picnic box in time to settle in and eat when the Jazz Group starts up at 1:00 pm. There will be fun for young and old so don’t miss out!

Sea Shanties – Forty Degrees South

Saturday 12 November, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Lane Cove Plaza

Soak up the incredible acapella performance of Forty Degrees South as they serenade you with fun sea shanties. Sit back, relax and let these acapella group take you to the banks of the Lane Cove River. This is a free event

Greenwich Sailing Club – Try Sailing

Sunday 6 November, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Bond Reserve, off O’Connell Street, Greenwich

Greenwich Sailing Club is having a “Try Sailing” morning for all sailors, experienced or novice. Find out more about sailing and how you can join this amateur dinghy sailing club that has been active in the Lane Cove community for more than 75 years. The club sails Optimists, Open Skiffs, Lasers, Tasers and 29ers on Sundays from September to April. GSC has sailors of all ages with regular training programs for new sailors to old hands.

Lane Cove Council and Mudgee Wine Region are the perfect pairing for North Shore locals looking to enjoy a delicious day out this November. This brand new partnership will see close to 20 popular regional wine and food stallholders serving up the best of the region.

Greenwich Village Arts Trail

Saturday and Sunday 5 and 6 November 2022

A diverse range of Greenwich artists will open their studio doors to visitors. See the spaces where paintings, sculptures, jewellery, pottery, photographs, linen, silk and paper prints are created. A rare opportunity to see behind the scenes of the local artists, some of whom are multi-award winning and whose art has been hung in the Sulman and Archibald. Wander from studio to studio and enjoy the harbour views along the way.
