In the Cove contacted Anthony Roberts today and he confirmed he is considering running for office. He has been approached by former Federal and State Liberal leaders asking him to consider taking on the role.  He wants to reform the party and ensure the party fields candidates who represent their community and to look at the number of women candidates.

After Dominic Perrottet announced he would be standing down on Saturday night, it looked like Matt Kean was the frontrunner to replace him.  Matt Kean has formally announced he will not be standing for the position of leader of the opposition.

The other two possible candidates are outgoing Sports Minister Alister Henskens and caretaker Attorney-General Mark Speakman.
