The Minecraft Social Group targets social communication goals in a neurodiversity affirming way. This program helps to engage the developing interests of those with reduced social awareness and social confidence. The program is ideal for children between the ages of 8-11.
This group utilises the motivator of Minecraft to help children to engage in communication, collaborative play, and problem-solving with one another. The program features ‘hands-on’ activities both with and without screens to help them build their self-advocacy skills and confidence interacting with others.

Lego® based therapy is a social development program for children with social communication difficulties. It uses children’s interest and motivation for playing with Lego® to help them develop communication and social skills.
Lego® based therapy is used to teach children skills like turn-taking, eye contact, sharing, listening, conversation, teamwork, shared attention and problem-solving. Lego® based therapy offers a ‘‘naturalistic’’ approach to social skills development which can improve generalisation of social skills. (Delprato 2001;Kohler et al. 1997).
When children play with Lego®, they’re more likely to interact with each other, listen and work together through collaborative play.

PHILOTIMO Year 11 and 12 Study Camp
Do you have a girl in year 11 or 12 who is struggling to study alone?

From July 4 – 9 we will be staying onsite in Winston Hills surrounded by beautiful bushland. Top tutors come in each day to help the girls study the subjects they are focusing on for the HSC, along with essay writing skills, and study support.
The girls are in rooms of three, with hotel style accommodation and a shared bathroom/ shower. All meals provided, we provide healthy, nutritious food that is plentiful and tasty.
The best part? We are a martial arts school, so between study blocks, girls join in studying self defence skills for beginners and those with more experience work on more complex martial arts. It’s fun, practical, good for the brain AND the body. We have been running these programs for over ten years and we love helping girls realize their full potential – rather than dropping out of sport in high school, it’s better for their mental health and their studies if they keep training!
