Shared Voices:  Walk and Yarning Circle

Thursday 2 November, 9:30am – 11:00am Longueville Park, Longueville

Take a walk through Country to learn about the culture and heritage of the Cameraygal and Wallumedegal people of the Lane Cove/Ryde area.

Then join the Yarning Circle, a traditional way of dialogue and sharing cultural knowledge with Karen Smith from the Aboriginal Heritage office. You are invited to ask your own questions about our shared histories and cultures and how we can all contribute to a reconciled Australia.

Screen on the Green: Shark Tale

Thursday, 10 November, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Burns Bay Reserve, Riverview

Bring your picnic rug and snacks and join us at Burns Bay Reserve for the fun family movie Shark Tale (G)

Greenwich Sailing Club – Try Sailing

Sunday 5 November, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Bond Reserve, off O’Connell Street, Greenwich

Greenwich Sailing Club is having a “Try Sailing” morning for all sailors, experienced or novice. Find out more about sailing and how you can join this amateur dinghy sailing club that has been active in the Lane Cove community for more than 75 years. The club sails Optimists, Open Skiffs, Lasers, Tasers and 29ers on Sundays from September to April. GSC has sailors of all ages with regular training programs for new sailors to old hands.

Food and Wine by the River

Sunday 5 November, 11:00 am – 5:00pm, Burns Bay Reserve,

Lane Cove Council and Mudgee Wine Region are the perfect pairing for North Shore locals looking to enjoy a delicious day out this November. This partnership will see close to 20 popular regional wine and food stallholders serving up the best of the region.

Greenwich Village Arts Trail

A diverse range of Greenwich artists will open their studio doors to visitors. See the spaces where paintings, sculptures, jewellery, pottery, photographs, linen, silk and paper prints are created. A rare opportunity to see behind the scenes of the local artists, some of whom are multi-award winning and whose art has been hung in the Sulman and Archibald. Wander from studio to studio and enjoy the harbour views along the way.
