Drop in, no commitment needed

For those who can’t commit to a full term, drop-in classes at Galuwa let you choose the Wednesdays that suit you, come when you can and enjoy yoga on your own schedule.

The setting is a beautiful sun-bathed room with a leafy outlook which is the perfect set up to allow your mind to switch off and reset.

Casual enrolments are released shortly after each term begins, once classes are underway and availability is confirmed. For Term 3, spaces remain available for the rest of the term, finishing Wednesday 23 September.

Meet your teacher at Galuwa

Dee grew up in India, immersed in the sights, smells and sounds of the country that will always be her first home but it took living in Sydney, her now forever home, to fall in love with this kind of yoga: a restful, gentle, nurturing, kind and inclusive practice.

Dee welcoming students to class

Her initial training was in Restorative Yoga, and she’s also trained in Hatha and Yin. A self-confessed yoga geek who can’t stop learning, she’s since completed further modules in Tantra Hatha, Remedial and Trauma-Aware Yoga, Somatic Yoga, and the Advanced Energetics of Yin.

Dee teaches yoga for the mind and from the heart; the physical benefits are simply a beautiful bonus. Through her classes, she hopes students learn to fall in love with themselves, knowing they really are enough, exactly as they are.

Off the mat, she can be found knitting or reading, drinking copious cups of chai, hanging out with her soccer-mad boys, or being a slave to her beloved rescue cat, Tinsel.
