Meet Lane Cove Local Luke Torrevillas. Luke is a location scout for movies and TV shows. He was the man who brought Hollywood to Longueville earlier this year. There were film crews and stretch limos all around Longueville.
We asked Luke Torrevillas to tell us more about himself and his business.
Tell us about your business?
Location Scouting and Management for the film and television industry and Aerial Photography. We register houses and business for owners interested in making them available.
How does a person list their home with you?

What do you look for when you are selecting a location?
Good and easy access. Wide streets ideally so we can park essential vehicles close by or a Park close by. Each property has something different and unique to offer. Each project has a different need and demographic to cater to so it’s not about new modern houses.
Is Lane Cove a good place to use as a location?
Lane Cove and Longueville are fantastic. It has a combination of period and modern houses. There have been a number of projects shot in the area – Some TV commercials, features films, and television series
How long have you lived in the Lane Cove Council Area?
15 years, since 2001
Why do you like living in Lane Cove?
Great and easy access to schools, shops, parks, bush walks and it’s really convenient to all parts of Sydney – North, East, South and West
What is your favourite thing to do in Lane Cove?
At the moment, bike riding. I have been out scouting for a movie on lane cove river and a recent TV commercial out on the river and it reminded me of a time when we gave rowing a go, which I’d like to do more of.

What would make Lane Cove better?
Restaurants with the characteristics of Newtown, Surry Hills, Inner city. Bit more of a vibe, originality and of course good fine dining or upmarket restaurant wouldn’t hurt… saves us driving out of Lane Cove.
