Lane Cove West Public School is turning 75, and the whole community is invited to help celebrate on Saturday 24 October from 2pm to 6pm. Established in 1951, the school will mark the milestone with student performances, food trucks, live music and school memorabilia for sale, plus displays in the Hall, Library, new STEM room and some of the original classrooms.
New principal Ms Sophia Iannarelli welcomes former students, families, teachers and community members to reconnect and reflect on the school’s history and its place in the local community.
The school is also seeking memorabilia for display, including old newsletters, handwritten reports, photos, uniforms, newspaper clippings and memories from sporting events, excursions and musicals. Contributions can be emailed to ‘[email protected]‘, or items can be dropped at the school office on any school day between 10am and 2pm. Alumni are also invited to share memories for display on the day.
