Bursting Into Life

Different Degrees Theatre Ensemble ask what would happen if they were in charge.

Bursting Into Life is an original 45-minute work inspired by the Roman feast day Saturnalia and Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, in which hierarchies topple and the ensemble imagines the small changes — and the raucous, fantastical ones — that might make a difference in their lives. It is an immersive invitation into a world of sometimes painful, touching and irreverent scenarios, all of which contain a seed of truth.

Directed by Alice Williams with designer Lucy Watson, and presented by Sydney Community Services and Lane Cove Council as part of the Lane Cove Festival @ Sydney Fringe. Lighting by Lane Cove Theatre Company.
