Tannery Creek Habitat Walk
17 October 2026 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Free

Lane Cove Council invites bushland lovers to explore the forest habitat of Tannery Creek on Saturday 17 October, guided by an owl expert from the Powerful Owl Project. The walk takes in Burns Bay Reserve in Riverview, where lillypillies, tree ferns and stunning Red Gums line the creek.
Possums, scrub-wrens and even the threatened Powerful Owl make use of the reserve. Walkers will learn how urban green corridors like this one help owls and other native species survive in a busy city.
The walk runs from 9:30am to 11:00am and is suitable for ages 10 and over. It is free, but bookings are essential as spaces are limited.
