Start Sailing School Holiday Course (December)

Kids can swap screens for sails these Christmas holidays with the Lane Cove 12ft Sailing Skiff Club’s Start Sailing course, running from Monday 21 December to Wednesday 23 December.

The beginner course is for 8 to 17 year olds and runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm each day, with supervised drop-off from 9:00am and pick-up by 5:00pm. Younger sailors learn in Sabots while older beginners use Pacers and ILCA 4s. The club provides boats, life jackets and sunscreen. Kids bring lunch, snacks and warm sailing clothes and must be able to swim 50 metres.

The course costs $510 including season club membership, with discounts for members and returning graduates. Active Kids vouchers are accepted. Graduates also get a free eight-week Transition to Racing program.
