Volunteers Wanted at The Lane Cove Toy Library

Volunteer roles. Flexible. 47 Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove.

The Lane Cove Toy Library is run entirely by volunteers and they need more hands. Help out for just four sessions a year and you get free membership.

Toy Librarian
Check toys in and out on the online system, loan new toys, keep the library looking great and help keep everything clean and safe for kids. Sessions run Tuesday 2pm to 4pm, Thursday 9:30am to 12pm and Saturday 9:30am to 12pm.

Session Coordinator
Open and close the library, run the member software, prepare reserved toys and support the two volunteers on shift. It's 5 hours on a Thursday or Saturday morning once a month. You'll train as a Toy Librarian for four months first and you need to live within 10km of Lane Cove. A Police Check and Working with Children Check are required. They'll help you get both at no cost.

Behind the scenes
Can't commit to regular sessions? They also need people to fix broken toys and help at open days and stocktake. Grant writers, sponsorship seekers, social media and marketing whizzes and bookkeepers are welcome too.
