Front Desk Volunteer at The Sydney Library of Things, Lane Cove or Waverton

Volunteer role. 3 to 4 hours per session. Lane Cove (Thursday nights) or Waverton (Saturday mornings).

The Sydney Library of Things lends out all sorts of handy items so locals can borrow instead of buy. Front desk volunteers are the friendly face of each branch. Choose the Lane Cove branch on Thursday nights or the Waverton branch on Saturday mornings.

What you'll do:

• Open and close the branch
• Check items in and out using simple software
• Get reserved items ready and make sure they're clean and working
• Welcome members and chat about what they're borrowing

You're always on shift with another volunteer. You roster yourself on fortnightly or monthly, around 8 to 10 shifts a year. Training is provided. A National Police Check is required.
