Youth Mentors Wanted for Chatswood and Willoughby High Schools

Volunteer role. Up to 2 hours a week during school terms. Chatswood High School and Willoughby Girls High School.

Remember what it was like to be 14? Raise Foundation is looking for volunteer mentors to support local high school students. Mentoring helps young people build confidence and resilience, feel like they belong and know how to ask for help when they need it. Mentors say they get a lot out of it too.

How it works:

  • Free training first: 8 online modules (around 4 hours) plus a group session
  • You're matched with a student at Chatswood High School or Willoughby Girls High School
  • You meet at the school on the same day and time each week, for up to 2 hours
  • The in-school program runs for 20 weeks, from April to September (not in school holidays)

You need to be 21 or older (20 if you're studying in a related field). A National Police Check and Working with Children Check are required.
