Vision PT’s (not so) Big Winners!


Vision Personal Training Lane Cove have announced the results of their Spring Weight Loss Challenge.

Drum-roll please!

The winner of the challenge was:

Patrick Cavenagh who has now won two consecutive challenges losing another phenomenal 21.7kg & 14.05% body fat. He has now lost a total of 50kg.

“Joining Vision Personal Training Lane Cove in February 2016 was one of the best decisions of my life.

Almost 1 year later I’m 50kg lighter, have had  significant strength gains and it’s close to 10years since I’ve been at the weight I’m at now.

I’m even looking forward to sticking my head in a few rugby scrums in 2017

There have been many highlights along the way including winning Back to Back 9-week challenges.

But the best highlight by far is regaining my health and self-confidence … and seeing my family’s and friends’ admiration for what I have achieved.

Our runner up was Jennifer Olding who lost  8.6kg & 11% body fat loss.

My journey started 3 days into the 9 week challenge when I met my trainer Steph at Vision lane Cove, set my goals and weighed in for the first time. My health and fitness were the motivators that got me started; however the vision team made sure they were influencing all aspects of my psyche to keep me going from week to week.  The names written on the leader board sparked my competitive side, as well as weekly prizes and cash to be won. There was variation in the classes and PT program to keep me from getting bored. The VVT personal tracker, food and exercise diary kept me accountable. The trainers recognised my presence each day and of course the sweet sound of that bell ringing each week made me feel so proud. Each element played its part to keep me going.

Now that the 9 week challenge is over and summer has started, I feel confident in my new smaller clothes and enjoy receiving compliments from friends’ colleagues and family. I have shifted my focus now to finding other ways to stay motivated including fitness challenges at the studio.

My advice to others would be to throw yourself into it, engage in every aspect of the program and without a doubt you will achieve success. It’s a science. It works. You will surprise yourself at just how much you can achieve in 9 weeks. I did it and you can too.
