There is a new chicken and burger joint on Mowbray Road – where the Cafe Geo Kebab shop used to be not far from The Mowbray Road Cellars.  It is called Mowbray Chooks and Burgers and is owned by the previous owners of Cafe Geo.  When you enter the premises it looks very much like the old kebab shop that was there.  The Betty Moo burger was good and anyone who puts chicken salt on chips must be recommended.

Closing Soon

ITC has been told that Running Bare will be closing in Lane Cove and all stock will be transferred to Chatswood.

This is a shame as that section of Longueville Road has started to get busier with Lillane Eatery and The Foot Group moving into the area.

Renovations

The Longueville Hotel is undergoing renovations to the front bar section of the hotel.  It is completely gutted inside.

The Longueville Sporting Club (aka The Diddy) has recently complete Stage 1 of the club’s facilities upgrade, this included renovation and reconfiguration of the main entrance and hall. They have also installed a new 3.5 metre screen so you won’t miss any of your favourite sporting events

Cafe Zivelli is closed for renovations. Stay tuned and we will let you know when it reopens with a new menu.

Relocated

Milestones

On Monday June 24, 2004 the Fitrev Studio was born. Fast Forward to 2019 and Fitrev is the longest serving fitness facility in the 2065 and 2066 postcode. Ben Dulhunty is the owner and founder and he said:

“It is both humbling and exciting to think that at 24 years old, I had the passion to make this happen and the support to keep it going for so long. What an amazing journey it has been and I’m so grateful to all the clients both past and present for your support over the years. It is certainly one of my greatest achievements and couldn’t have been possible without my friends, family, clients and of course the all important ‘A-Team’ of Fitrev staff I now call family. The Fitrev Studio is more than a facility, it’s a 3rd place (after work and home).. somewhere for people to come and meet, socialise and get healthy. It has truly become the community hub I envisaged all those years ago, and is a phenomenon in the Fitness Industry.

The Fitrev Studio is the benchmark of boutique studio’s within the fitness industry, and is the reason why for the last 5 years I’ve been mentoring other Studio owners teaching them how our studio ticks, so they can replicate its success across the globe

Did you know the average Gym has a customer retention rate of 59% per year, and the smaller studio’s and franchises have a customer retention rate of 72%? Fitrev has been running at above 90% Customer retention from year to year for the past 10 years.. and it’s due to our fabulous clientele and consistently professional staff.

The Studio has allowed me to meet so many amazing people and create some great friendships of which I will never forget. Thank you all for your continued support of what began as an idea, and has now turned into a home for so many local residents.”

Well done Ben and Fitrev.

In the last weekend of June 2019, Four Frogs Creperie celebrated its first birthday in Lane Cove with a free glass of Mumm for all its patrons.  The Mumm was flowing out the door.  Four Frogs has become a valuable member of the Lane Cove Community with sponsorship of the Lane Cove Fun Run and the Lane Cove Public School.  They may be known for their sweet crepes but ITC highly recommends you try the savoury Galettes.  To celebrate Bastille Day (14th July 2019) Four Frogs will also have French themed special crêpes and galettes available throughout the month of July.

Maria Ramos Photography

Hello! My name is Marie and I am the grateful owner of this amazing business. My best title though is being called mum to my beautiful girls Millie and Lucia and together with my husband Andrew and dog Freddie, we live a simple and happy life nestled within nature up in the north shore.

Ever since I was a child, I had an obsession for creating handmade gifts for my loved ones, so naturally when I discovered my passion for Baby photographer and ceramics at uni, my dream was to create a business that I could one day call my own.

At the age of 19, I began as a freelance family photographer travelling to homes all around Sydney. As demand grew, I opened my first studio in Leichhardt in 2007 and in April 2018 moved to a beautiful space in Lane Cove.

In 2009 I decided to create a product that did not exist on the market which combined my 2 loves, photography and handmade ceramics. “Baby Imprints” was a huge leap of faith but the concept was hugely successful and led us to winning our first small business award for best specialised business in 2010.

Since the beginning I always had a strong sense of giving back to the community as our customers were and still are the reason for our success, so we would run annual charity fundraisers. By 2016 we had donated over $25k to various charities but I wanted to do something extra special to celebrate our 10th year of business the following year. In 2017 I took a 12-month sabbatical to create an artwork made of heart imprints for one of my favorite charities “Love Your Sister”. The artwork named “Connie’s Heart” is a permanent feature at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and most importantly raised $111,000 towards breast cancer research. Other than getting married and having my two beautiful girls this was one of the most memorable moments of my life as it reinforced my belief that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

I look forward to the opportunity of meeting you and your family one day and I thank you for taking the time to browse through our beautiful collection of work.
