Lane Cove Coffee Carnevale 7th Sept 2019 Celebrates our love of Coffee

Most coffee shops per capita? Not exactly but Lane Covians certainly love their coffee which is why the local Coffee Carnevale has earned its place on the annual calendar of Lane Cove Events.

On Saturday 7th September 2019, Lane Cove Plaza will be alive with the flair and flavour of Coffee Carnevale, a celebration of the local coffee culture in Lane Cove.

2019 will celebrate the 6th anniversary of this event, bringing global coffee culture to Lane Cove Plaza.

    Coffee Carnevale Fun

A blend (pardon the pun) of coffee and culture, this event is high-energy and highly enticing to anyone passing by the Plaza on Saturday 1st September.  The day is all about sharing the work of local cafés with the wider community and encouraging them to shop locally.

With the Lane Cove Plaza abuzz with free entertainment and activities from 9:00am – 2:00pm, there will be something to see and do no matter what time you stop by. Take time to linger longer after your morning errands, sample a new brew, be in-the-know about the latest coffee trends, take part in demonstrations and workshops or be wildly entertained by a variety of family-friendly performances throughout the day.  It is also a celebration of our love for chai and tea.

There will be stalls and free live entertainment for all ages. Let your kids express their creative side or play with giant games at the KidzKlub activity zone. Learn about the exotic flavours of chai tea at The Chai Room stall or taste the different flavours of coffee regions at Lil Lane Eatery’s cupping stall. Experience an abridged traditional Japanese tea ceremony with Tae Gessner and her team.

There will also be the opportunity to learn about sustainable practices and reusable services at the Ruzi stall.

Bring your own reusable cup or pick up a reusable Ruzi cup available at each café on the day. Enjoy your coffee and simply return the Ruzi cup to one of the specially marked bins provided.

    Chai Workshop

Come and learn about the exotic and aromatic flavours of masala chai with the award winning expert Fatema from The Chai Room.

You will learn about spices and how to create your own customised chai blend. She will teach you how to grind and pair your spices to create your choice of a masala chai on a black, green or caffeine free tea base.

Book a spot now for this fantastic workshop by emailing [email protected], with your full name and preferred time slot: 9:30am / 10:30am / 1:30pm. Bookings are also available on the day.
