Two Men Charged After Lane Cove Stabbing

Emergency services were called to a unit complex on the corner of the Pacific Highway and Mowbray Road Lane Cove North about 7.10pm on Sunday 19 January 2020, and found a 37-year-old man with a chest wound.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he’s reported to be in a serious condition.

Two men were arrested nearby and were taken to North Sydney Police Station; they have now been charged with affray.

A 23-year-old man, from Willoughby, and a 22-year-old man, from Lane Cove North, were refused bail.

Inquiries are continuing into how the older man came to be injured. It is not known if the victim was known to the two men charged.

The two men appeared in Hornsby Local Court and were granted bail. They are due to reappear in court in late February.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have information.  In particular, if you have any video or CCTV of the incident.

Any person with information is urged to call 94148499 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
