Chargrill Charlie’s and the Punk Princess of Pastry Anna Polyviou have joined forces to launch an edible cookie dough soft-serve van that will make its way across Sydney today (Thursday 4 June). ITC is super excited that superstar, rockstar, celebrity chef Anna Polyviou will be in Lane Cove and you will get to meet her.
Chargrill Charlies originally worked with Anna Poilyviou to create a mouthwatering choc cookie dough and now there are new cookie dough flavours!!!!!!!
Cookie Dough Van
The ‘Chargrill Charlie’s X Anna Polyviou Cookie Dough Van’ will travel the Chargrill Charlie’s roadmap for one day only, following the Sydney store path from the East to the North. Lane Cove you will have to listen out for special Charlie’s tunes throughout the day for a chance to purchase the limited-edition products from the van, and Anna Polyviou, herself.
Brownie Beats and Fairy Bread Confetti
Made from Polyviou’s mouth-watering edible cookie dough, the soft serves will be whipped fresh in the van with chunks of edible cookie dough, available for $5 in two brand new flavours; Brownie Beats and Fairy Bread Confetti. 600g tubs will also be available to purchase for $15 and can be eaten fresh from the tub, in ice cream, as a dessert topping or baked in the oven. Each flavour, along with the OG Triple Choc Blast will come with simple instructions on how to bake the cookies at home.
For those that miss out on the van, Chargrill Charlie’s cookie dough tubs will also be available to purchase at Lane Cove Chargrill Charlies and the other Chargrill Charlie’s stores across Sydney and Melbourne – via the Chargrill Charlie’s app, in store or through select delivery partners.

‘Chargrill Charlie’s X Anna Polyviou Cookie Dough Van’ is the cult chicken brands second collaboration with Polyviou as part of their ‘Local Flavours’ initiative. Her first cookie-dough sold-out in days, with over two tonnes gobbled up by eager fans across Sydney. ITC admits that several tubs were snapped up by ITC (some of the baked cookies survived long enough to be taken over to the Neighbour’s kids who were homeschooling at that time).
Anna Polyviou, said, “It has been inspiring to play a part in seeing so many people use this time at home to challenge themselves in the kitchen and use food as a source of comfort and connection. We were overwhelmed with the response to our OG cookie dough and are excited to launch these new flavours in an entirely fun and surprising way this week. It’s been a true pleasure to partner with Chargrill Charlie’s, embracing our shared community values and creating jobs for suppliers and my team during this time.”
Chargrill Charlie’s is lending a helping hand to local chefs and restaurants during the COVID-19 government restrictions. Last week, Big Sam Young marked his third partnership with ‘Sam’s Mum’s Famous Dumplings’ after his first two successful menu injections of a delicious Lasagna al Forno and a variety of Asian inspired meals with Hojijak’s Junda Khoo. The local initiative has also seen Redfern’s modern Isreali neighbourhood restaurant, Kepos Street Kitchen sell much-loved and missed menu items.
Despite government restrictions easing, Chargrill Charlie’s remains dedicated to continuing their Local Flavours initiative during this recovery period. Ryan Sher, Co-owner of Chargrill Charlie’s said, “While restaurants are slowly beginning to reopen, this isn’t an overnight fix for those chefs and workers in our industry.
