Lane Cove Local Marc Tan’s Lane Cove Cycle to the CBD was a Hit

Marc Tan is a Lane Cove Local and a keen cyclist.  On World Bicycle Day he came up with the idea of leading a guided Lane Cove Cycle to the CBD.

Marc wanted people to know that you can ride on mostly bike path and quiet back streets from Lane Cove to North Sydney and the CBD.

He wanted to offer a cycling option for people looking to avoid public transport or crowded routes, build up fitness as part of commute or make a positive impact on our environment.

The First Lane Cove Cycle to the CBD

Riders of all fitness levels were welcomed. The ride started at 3 pm from the new Cammeraygal Park (opposite council chambers) and was approximately 40 mins each way.

The first group consisted of 7 cyclists and six volunteers – so everyone had a guide.  The feedback has been great.

Marc will organise another Ride to The City if there is interest.
