Lane Cove West has a new convenience/grocery store and cafe. Centro is located in Waterview Drive right next to Hughes Park. Centro is a family-owned business, and Mike, one of the owners, has lived in Lane Cove for eight years.
In 2010 a Centro store was established in Ryde, after the success of their first store, Centro was looking for a second location. They picked Lane Cove and are extremely proud of their new store.
Their goal at Centro is to provide socially and environmentally responsible sourced products to the local community while supporting local farmers and suppliers.
However, they realise that our community is a diverse and multicultural one, so at Centro, they also stock a wide range of international products and well as local produce such as fresh fruit and vegetables, organic coffee and meat, as well food to go to match our communities fast-paced lifestyles.
Centro is not only a convenience store; it is a cafe and grocery store. Centro sells barista-made Organic Coffee, sandwiches, ready to eat meals, grocery items, fresh fruit and vegetables and can arrange a cheese platter or picnic hamper for you.
Organic Coffee
Who said having a responsibly sourced cup of coffee on the go can be expensive? At Centro, they believe that it is affordable to do the responsible thing. So, they partnered with Coffee Hero, an award-winning coffee roaster, to come up with 100% Organic Certified medium roast blend, made from high altitude superior quality coffee beans.
You can enjoy Centro’s organic coffee by itself or by combining it with their bakery, donuts and cookies range.
Competitive Pricing
Centro buys its product through the IGA network so that they may be small, but they have access to a centralised buying group to help keep pricing competitive.
Open 7 Days a Week from 7 am to 11 pm.
Centro is open every day. There is parking at the back of the building (enter on the driveway near the store).
It’s very convenient if you are coming home along Burns Bay Road and need some dinner or ingredients. They also have a delivery service so you can order up to 11 pm (perfect for that late-night ice cream fix). They have Ben & Jerry and Pat and Sticks.
International Food
They have a large range of international food. ITC was impressed with their huge range of US food including Reece peanut butter cups, junior mints, hostess cupcakes and heaps of cereals you don’t normally find in Australia.
They also have a full wall of Asian food and ingredients.
Let’s Party
Centro can create your perfect cheese plate, or you can do your own.
They also have pre-packed picnic hampers which are perfect for a day a Hughes Park.
