Supermarkets and Bakery
Woolworths, Coles, Harris Farm and Aldi will be open.
Bakers Delight is open from 7 am to 2 pm and they are selling Damper.
Double Demerit Points
Double demerit points are in place over the Australia Day period
Double demerits are in place for four consecutive days in NSW over the Australia Day long weekend, from Thursday, 25 January 2024, through to the end of Sunday, 28 January 2024 inclusive.
Petrol, Convenience Stores, Booze and Yikes I have Locked Myself Out
If you need Petrol and Convenience Store items on Christmas Day/New Year’s Day, Jack & Co is open. You can buy petrol, coffee, ice, snack food and all those essential ingredients you forgot to get for that secret Christmas dish. They are located in Northwood and Burns Bay Road.
Centro Lane Cove West is open throughout the Christmas Season and New Year – it is worth checking them out as they have an extensive range of fresh food, meat and grocery items, and if you are looking for a present for a homesick US, Brazillian, Asian friend they have a big range of foods from overseas to try. Dan Murphy’s The Cellar, located on 231 Burns Bay Road, will be open until 6 pm and will have tasting on January 27th 2024.
If you lock yourself out of your house or you need a replacement lock urgently – Alert Locksmiths and Security operate their emergency service 24 Hours a Day/7 Days a Week.
I need a Doctor or a Vet
If you need a Doctor on public holidays, Wise Medical Clinic in Macquarie Park is a private billing emergency clinic, and they are open 10 am-10 pm 7 days a week.
For your Furry family members needing a vet, North Shore Veterinary Hospital in Artarmon is open 24/7 for emergencies only or SASH in Ryde.
Lane Cove Council Emergency Issues
The Lane Cove Council offices will be closed on 26 January 2024. In case of Council emergencies, call 9911 3555, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Different Trading Hours
Four Frogs Creperie will be opening earlier for breakfast on Australia Day – their hours are 9 am-9 pm! Head in and try their selection of January Specials before they are gone! From the fresh and fruity flavours of their Berry Coco Crêpe to the light and flavourful Poké Galette.
Kin Sydney (located in the Harris Farm building) will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; they have now launched their evening dining menu.
Lane Cove Return and Earn Depot in the Lane Cove West Business Park will be open until 2.00 pm. ITC often notices people with numerous bags standing at the Earn and Return Machine at the Little Street Car Park – where you have to feed containers into the machine one at a time. Lane Cove Earn and Return has a fast sorting machine, which means you are in and out very quickly.
Australia Day at Shorties
Join Shorties Lane Cove from 12 p.m. They have a couple of classic Aussie dishes and your favourite Aussie bangers playing throughout the day.
