Cremorne man charged over brush turkeys shot with arrows

A 56-year-old Cremorne man has been charged after a North Shore Police Area Command investigation found a number of brush turkeys had allegedly been shot with an arrow and ball bearings over an 18-month period.

Detectives began investigating after members of the public found injured brush turkeys near Green Street, Cremorne between April 2025 and September 2026. Each bird was taken to a wildlife hospital and had to be euthanised because of its injuries.
