Manna Bread closed for now on Burns Bay Road

The shutters have been down at Manna Bread on Burns Bay Road and followers have been asking In the Cove whether the bakery has closed for good.

We called the shop and were told staff were having a bit of a break, with no word yet on when it would reopen.

Since then, several followers have told us the owners make the same trip home to China and Vietnam at this time every year, so it looks like their usual annual break rather than a closure. One reader also saw a truck backed up onto the footpath outside the shop on Sunday evening, which looked like stock being moved.

A nearby unit at 50–54 Burns Bay Road is also listed for lease, though nothing suggests it’s connected to Manna Bread.

We’ll update this once we hear from the owners directly.
