Stella Hong

Stella Hong is a journalist with In the Cove, covering local news and the people and places that make up Lane Cove and the Lower North Shore. She is completing a double degree in Commerce (Finance) and Media (Communications and Journalism) at UNSW, and brings that combination to her reporting — an eye for the detail behind a story and a knack for explaining what it means for readers. Drawn to stories about people and community, Stella works across both news and longer-form features, and has written and edited for two university mastheads. Alongside reporting she works across audio and video production, and away from the newsroom is an accomplished violinist and pianist.
