Lane Cove Easter Trading 2022 – What is Open?

Are you staying in Lane Cove for Easter?  If so, we have the lowdown on what will be open this Easter.

We also specifically checked which Fish Shops were open on Good Friday (that was for ITC’s mum – we were never allowed to eat meat on Good Friday).

We have done the best we can at compiling this information; hours could be subject to change, so we suggest you double-check the details. This guide is just to give you an indication.

We have also been advised by several businesses, that even though they intend to be open during the Easter break if staff become unavailable due to COVID19 they may not be able to open.  Most cafes will close earlier on the public holidays (usually most will be closed by 2 pm).

Double Demerit Points

Double Demerit Points apply from 14th to 18 April 2022 and if you are away on holidays they also apply from 22 April to 25 April 2022 (ANZAC Day long weekend).

Petrol, Convenience Stores, Booze and Yikes I have Locked Myself Out

If you need Petrol and Convenience Store items, Jack & Co is open.  You can buy petrol, coffee, ice, snack food and all those ingredients you forgot to get for that secret Easter dish.  Jack and Co is located on Northwood Road Northwood (not far from the Longueville Sports Club aka The Diddy) and on Burns Bay Road (where the old 7 Eleven used to be).

Centro in Waterview Drive is open all Easter Weekend until 11 pm.

If you need Booze over the Easter Break Porters, Northwood is only closed on Good Friday.

If you lock yourself out of your house or you need a replacement lock urgently – Alert Locksmiths and Security operate their emergency service 24 Hours a Day/7 Days a Week.

Doctor and Vet

If you need a doctor over the Easter period, check out our article HERE.  Wise Medical Clinic in Macquarie Park is a private billing emergency clinic, and they are open 10 am-10 pm 7 days a week.

For your Furry family members needing a vet, North Shore Veterinary Hospital in Artarmon is open 24/7 for emergencies.

Cleaning UP and DIY

Many people clean up and undertake DIY; the Community Recycling Centre located at 8 Waltham Street in Artarmon is a one-stop-shop for safely disposing of problem household wastes such as paint, gas bottles, e-waste or motor oil and more.  In other words, problem wastes that can’t be collected via council kerbside waste or recycling collection services all year round.  They are closed on Good Friday, and Easter Monday.  They are open on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday

Please be careful when you under DIY – Easter is a big DIY time, and also, the local hospitals have a spike with the increase in DIY related injuries.
