Playgroups in the Lane Cove Area

0

Are you new to the area and wanting to meet some local families, or have a baby and need to get out of the house and chat to some other parents or carers of little ones? How about going to a playgroup!?

Playgroups are beneficial for children, families and communities. We’ve been putting together a list of all the playgroups in the Lane Cove Council Area. Let us know if we missed any that you attend/have attended.

Play provides all children with the opportunity to learn, experience, investigate and interact with the environment. During play children create meaning from the world around them. It offers the child experiences to think, plan, create, do and find out.

LCM Churches – Junior Jivers

Junior Jivers is a Christian music and movement program for children under 5, meeting at our Lane Cove Centre for an hour on Wednesday mornings at 9:45am during school terms. The program includes singing well known songs, nursery rhymes and Christian songs, playing instruments, movement, dancing and stories, including simple bible stories.

Parents and carers join in with their children, providing a great opportunity to enjoy singing and dancing together. No previous musical experience is required and everyone is welcome!

The morning starts at 9:45am with a quick chat over a cuppa in the foyer, then the program begins at 10am sharp for half an hour in the hall. At 10:30am we’ll have morning tea and some time for free play and chat.

For more information please contact Katrina [email protected] or 9427 1163. You can register your child by filling out a registration form here.
