Welcome to our Lane Cove Weekly Review for 3 to 9 April 2017.
Easter Hat Parade Tradition
The Lane Cove Public School delighted visitors to the Lane Cove Plaza with their annual Easter Hat Parade. This tradition is well loved by locals and we hope it continues for many years to come.
Fire in Cox’s Lane
A two level townhouse caught fire on Cox’s Lane this week. All occupants were accounted for and NSW Fire and Rescued commented that the townhouse was well alight.
Lane Cove Market Square
Lane Cove Market Square continues to frustrate shoppers with its unreliable lifts and escalators. To make matters worse, the speed bumps near the exit have either increased in size or number (or both). ITC is receiving reports of people getting stuck on the speed bumps or having to reverse to get over the speed bumps.
Public Transport
Lane Cove Council is finally putting the public transport issue on the agenda. Are they doing enough? The Public Transport issue will be discussed at the Council meeting on Monday 10th April. Details here.
Population
Lane Cove’s population is now 36 996 and growing. Lane Cove Council is seeking comments on its operational plans and projects for the next year. Find out how you can have your say here.
