Ella has now decided to concentrate on her home turf, relocated her office to Gladesville, and concentrated more on selling and leasing properties in the Lane Cove area. It seemed a good time to rebrand her thriving real estate business to the Ella Elias Property Group.
Ella’s Real Estate Credentials
Real Estate is in Ella’s blood; she grew up working in her father’s real estate business.
She worked the rental rolls with her brothers after school, when she began her industry education. Ella developed her tenacity and negotiation skills growing up in a large family where she was one of 7 children.
Expanding her horizons beyond the family business, Ella spent the formative years of her career cutting her teeth in the world of corporate real estate, working for large multinationals.
As one of the only women in the industry at the time, she decided to start her first company, “The Region Professionals” at the age of 23, and at this time cultivated what would be a lifelong passion for the industry.
Ella has built a highly successful business on referrals; in fact her very first client is still with her today, some 30 years later.
Ella’s ambition is to strengthen her community connection through the Ella Elias Property Group, and work alongside her children to carry on this legacy.
Ella has been embraced by Lane Cove locals, and they have welcomed her move to work more in the Lane Cove Council area.
The Ella Elias Property Group recently listed 34 Sutherland Street Lane Cove. The property sold before the auction after only being on the market for 22 days. Ella had 64 groups inspect the property, and 9 contracts were given out.
We asked Ella a few questions about living in Lane Cove.
What Do You Like Most About Living in Lane Cove?
Hands down, the people! My husband Tom and I have been here most of our adult lives, and we have been fortunate enough to have developed close friendships with other local families and people. I love the community and the open, friendly, and warm atmosphere. It’s such a nice feeling that when you go somewhere, you bump into people you know, I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Being so close to Sydney’s water, city and other areas is also a huge bonus! I love Tambourine Bay Reserve.
Why Did You Decide to Rebrand?
I love being involved in my local community, whether it be through my children’s schools or community events or just hanging out at my favourite local haunts. I also love my job, and now that my children are getting older, it felt like the right time to make a deeper connection between the people, the place I love living in, and my work. Changing the business name was part of that journey for me.
Where Do You Like to Hang Out in Lane Cove?
I try to start my day with a training session up at Vision PT Lane Cove (in fact, several members of my family also go!), followed by a coffee at Jack & Co. For those of you who haven’t tried it; the coffee is great, the staff even greater and I always bump into someone (ITC note – we regularly bump into Ella at Jack & Co). I also love to check out Zjoosh and you will see me at Bakers Delight Lane Cove often (I have two boys with healthy appetites).
I also love eating out in Lane Cove; there are too many good places for food these days, it’s hard to pick just one!
Tell Us About Your Family’s Involvement in the Business
Ah yes! I come from a large family and grew up seeing my older brothers working for my father in his business. Now that my eldest, Austin, has left school, it was the perfect time to bring him into the fold and teach him the ropes.
My husband, Tom, is also our General Manager, and I’m fortunate to have him in this role as he has many years of experience in leadership and running businesses. My two younger children are still at school, although Savannah, our 17 yr. old works with us as our Administration Assistant.
