On Saturday & Sunday, 11-12 November 2023 will be taking part in the Australian Ceramics Open Studios.
Australian Ceramics Open Studios (ACOS) is an annual, nationwide, weekend event that celebrates clay, community and creativity. The weekend event is now in its 11th year; over 200 potters and ceramic artists in cities and regional areas around Australia will open their studios to the public.
This truly is a must-see event for anyone who’s curious about seeing how professional ceramicists set up their studios!
Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Space is proud to be a part of this year’s Australian Ceramics Open Studios! This open weekend is a fantastic opportunity to introduce not only their ceramic teachers and students to the community but also their state-of-the-art ceramics facilities.
What’s Happening at Gallery Lane Cove on the Ceramics Open Studios Weekend?
Over the weekend, they will be hosting two FREE book-in-only workshops/demonstrations.
Gallery Lane Cove + Creative Space will be hosting a ceramics sale of the fantastic works created by their teachers and students – a great opportunity to find a gift for the upcoming holiday season!
The studios will be open to the community from 10 am-4 pm on both days.
Saturday 11 November 2023 Ceramics Open Studio – BOOKED OUT
10 am-1 pm: Working Studio (visitors can pop into the ceramics class and see the pottery facilities available)
2-3 pm: Slab Workshop (booking needed) – book here.
Sunday 12 November 2023 Ceramics Open Studio – BOOKED OUT
12-1 pm: Pinch Pot Workshop (booking needed) – book here.

If you can’t make it the weekend of 11/12 November 2023, Gallery Lane Cove provides the whole community with opportunities to attend art workshops and term classes in printmaking (including screen printing), sewing, jewellery making, knitting, life drawing, painting and pottery. Facilities Available for Use Outside Classes/Workshop times
The Creative Studios provides a learning space for budding, emerging, mid-career and experienced artists. Besides term classes, workshops and masterclass programs, the printmaking, ceramics, painting and sewing facilities are all available for hire.
