His work, Ghost between Steams will be staged in a carpark, and was inspired by daily walks through Lane Cove’s own Stringybark Creek. It focuses on ”the struggle between nature and urbanisation and their coexistence in community identity”.  In June 2023 ITC featured a story on Tom and why he was inspired to compose Ghost between the Streams – read our article here

Kylie Bryden Smith Lane Cove North Local and Secretary of the Stringybark Creek Residents Association watched the multi-artform piece in 2023 and provided the following review to ITC:

“Ghost between Streams is a creative masterpiece.  Combining contemporary music and dance, Ghost between Streams evokes haunting imagery and sounds portraying what happens to nature when it intersects with urban development.  The Stringybark Creek bushland which inspired this work is literally my backyard. This captivating production demonstrates to me why it is so important to protect our local bushland to ensure it can live on into future generations.”

Unfortunately, the experience was no match for youth, and the team couldn’t get their first win.
