Noasis is a tribute band that celebrates the music, sound and spirit of Oasis. Their focus is on recreating the “Wall of Sound,” the swagger, and the anthems—and giving fans a chance to relive (or experience) that era live. They are coming to The Canopy on 8th November 2025.
Darren Spiby originally formed Noasis in the UK in the 1990s, during the “Oasis Mania” era, when the brothers were at their peak and still spoke to each other. Little did Darren know that Oasis Mania would take over the world again when the band reformed and started touring this year.
Darren moved to Australia in 2013, and over time, the Noasis tribute band started to gain attention. Little did Darren know that Oasis Mania would take over the world again when Oasis reformed and began touring again in 2025.
Like Oasis, Noasis is a family affair, with Darren, his son Tom, as the lead guitarist and vocalist, and another son on bass.

An article on Darren in the Sydney Morning Herald noted how Darren is putting his money where his mouth is and has spent serious money to look like Liam Gallagher:
“To date, Spiby has spent $120,000 on clothes, including multiple limited edition ‘Liam’ parkas, Adidas trainers, and bucket hats; $25,000 on rare Epiphone guitars, including the Sheraton Union Jack guitar, one of only three in the world; and a casual $13,000 on a scooter, registered as Lyla, after the Oasis 2005 hit.”
One of the reasons Noasis is billed as the best Oasis tribute band in Australia is that their sound, style, and mannerisms closely mirror those of the original. Being a Noasis member is not just about playing their songs; it is about embodying the essence of the band.
Noasis is riding the 2025 Oasis revival. At the YNot 2025 Festival in the UK they were bumped up to the main stage and performed in front of 20 000 people (ITC doubts there will be that many at The Canopy). Click Magazine noted:
” ‘Oasis summer’ hit the festival as tribute band Noasis played to a 20,000-strong festival crowd after being bumped up to the ‘Big Gin’ main stage due to massive demand. Riding high off the Brit-pop revival, lead vocalist Darren Spiby cracked out covers of ‘Wonderwall’ and kept the rain at bay with their Noasis festival spirit.”
So, if you couldn’t get tickets to Oasis, the Noasis in the Canopy in November really will be the next best thing.

If You Buy Us A Coffee, it is, in fact, helping to pay the ITC Team
We want to clarify that, yes, the ITC team does support local businesses by drinking coffee, but there is a limit to the number of cups you can drink in a day.
We started the Buy Us A Coffee Campaign as a way to keep local news free and to grow our team. Our team is now comprised of three local mums who work part-time to bring you all the up-to-date news, traffic alerts, incidents, and events. We also now have Walkley Award Nominee Jack Kelly writing articles for us, as well as founder Jacky Barker. We truly appreciate any help you can provide, whether large or small.
How local journalism keeps communities engaged
Local newsrooms play a vital role in keeping communities informed and engaged with the decisions that affect them. Without dedicated coverage of local government, infrastructure, and policy changes, many residents are left uninformed about issues that significantly impact their daily lives. Independent newsrooms help bridge this gap, providing a trusted source of information and giving people a platform to voice concerns. Strong local reporting doesn’t just inform, it fosters public participation and strengthens civic engagement. – extract from the Local and Independent News Association Website
