The Little Bee Hunt
This school holidays, the learning fun spills out of the classroom and into the Lane Cove community with Lane Cove’s Little Bee Hunt — a treasure hunt designed especially for little learners.
Little bees have fluttered out of the Busy Bees ELS Centre and are hiding inside local businesses. Families are invited to join in the fun and explore the business, search for the ten bees waiting to be spotted, and enjoy a shared adventure that’s every bit as playful as it is rewarding.
Plus, there’s plenty of incentive to join, the more bees you discover, the closer you’ll get to winning one of ten Kidstuff vouchers valued at $200 each.

Fun Filled Learning
The beauty of the Little Bee Hunt is that while it feels like play, it’s also packed with meaningful learning opportunities. These align with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) in ways parents can easily see and celebrate:
- Belonging: As children explore their neighbourhood, they learn about their place in the world and build a sense of community.
- Wellbeing: Walking, problem-solving, and spending time together as a family promotes both physical health and emotional well-being.
- Confidence: Children grow as learners when they tackle challenges — following clues, spotting bees, and celebrating their success.
- Communication: The hunt sparks conversations, storytelling, and teamwork as children share what they find and talk about their adventures.
These simple, joyful experiences are exactly what help children develop the skills they will carry with them into school and beyond.
These are all skills highlighted in our bespoke curriculum at Busy Bees Lane Cove — showing how playful, hands-on experiences help children discover the joy of learning and carry it with them for life.
After a sparkling transformation in July 2025, The Lane Cove Busy Bees centre now features brand-new playgrounds and beautifully refurbished interiors designed to inspire little imaginations. Families can expect an all-inclusive program enriched with yoga, cooking, nature play, excursions, languages, and music — all supported by a Government-Approved Preschool program to ensure children are confident and ready for school.

Led by a team of passionate and experienced educators, Busy Bees Lane Cove offers flexible hours (7am–6pm) and a warm, welcoming sense of community. It’s a place where children feel safe to explore and parents feel confident.
