Birrahlee is a community based preschool offering two and three day positions for 3-5 year old children.
We give preference for children in the year before they start school. Birrahlee follows state school hours and terms.
Birrahlee Kindergarten opened in 1958, although a formal document is dated 30th January 1959.
As a community-based not-for-profit organisation, we aim to provide valuable initial experiences and guidance to pre-school children aged 3 – 5 in a safe, friendly and happy environment.
We provide two-day and three-day programmes, which offer a wide range of stimulating activities within the security of a daily routine.
The general and specific needs of the children are included in the programme, embracing their social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.
All this is achieved in a warm caring environment.
