In November last year, two fires were deliberately lit at Rotary Field Lane Cove North. Early this morning (11th January 2020) another two fires broke out in Lane Cove North and Chatswood. Police believe they were deliberately lit.
One fire was lit in bushland in Elizabeth Parade Lane Cove North.
Police are still on the scene and the area has been cordoned off as a crime scene. Two fire trucks attended the Elizabeth Parade fire.
The other fire was lit at Ulm Street. Police choppers were involved in a search for the person(s) involved.
Police have told ITC that a total of 4000 square metres was burnt. They are now investigating if the two incidents are linked and are canvassing local residents.
