KIN emerged from a passionate collaboration between Helen, Huan (Finn), and Joice, building on their shared experiences in hospitality and the supply business.
They aim to create a dining destination that combines a refined ambience with a welcoming atmosphere, setting a new standard in the Lane Cove community while offering an experience akin to the vibrant Melbourne dining scene.

Joice Oliveira (Head Chef)
Hailing from Southern Brazil, Joice’s culinary journey is steeped in the rich cultural influences of her childhood, where she learned the art of cooking from her grandmother. Her diverse experiences in Australia have deepened her passion for infusing flavours and techniques from around the world, particularly from Polish, Japanese, and Chinese cuisines. For Joice, cooking is a heartfelt expression of love and memory.
Helen Chen (Sommelier)
Helen’s journey to KIN is fueled by her curiosity and love for wine and people. With a solid background in accounting and extensive experience in the food supply industry, she combines her analytical skills with a passion for hospitality. A certified WSET Level 3 sommelier, Helen brings a keen palate and a genuine enthusiasm for wine, elevating the dining experience for our guests.
Huan (Finn) Wang (Head Barista)
Finn’s relationship with coffee spans over 12 years, during which he has honed his skills into an art form. He views each cup as a story, infused with the warmth and comfort that coffee brings. Finn is dedicated to perfecting his craft, ensuring that every sip reflects his passion and commitment to providing joy to customers through beautifully crafted coffee.
Cedric Cerutti (Manager)
With over 15 years of experience in hospitality, Cedric believes in creating meaningful connections and memorable experiences. Originally from Switzerland, he wanted to work in a vibrant, open-minded community. Cedric’s philosophy centres around making every visit to KIN a joyful escape where guests can relax and feel valued. He’s dedicated to ensuring that the simple act of serving coffee can brighten someone’s day.
