Australia has such a vibrant lunch box culture, especially for kids. As adults, we often just default to plain containers to pack our lunch (often for good reason!). But sometimes, we need to make ourselves feel just a little bit better so we can power through each day.

My name is Ken, and I left my corporate job to start this business in 2021. I wanted to leverage my Japanese heritage and point of view to introduce unique items from the land of the rising sun to the Australian community. I remember how my mother used to pack my lunches in simple but functional bento boxes in Japan, and thought, hmm, I can’t easily find those over here, maybe people will like them! At the same time, I could help both Australia’s and Japan’s economies, even if it’s just a drop in the ocean.

Majime Life offers a wide selection of elegant and functional bento boxes from Japan. From our minimalistic basic bento box series, to our beautiful Japanese patterned Wagara series, to our versatile picnic bento boxes that are great for outdoor and social events, we’ve sourced all of our bento lunch boxes from suppliers in Japan. Japanese products have a reputation of high quality and reliability, and we’ve made sure these are no different. Dress up your packed meal and elevate your meal experience each day, and everyday!

We also offer bento box accessories, Japanese wrapping cloths (Furoshiki), chopsticks and drink bottles. We are continually adding new products and hope to one day build out a Japanese themed store for lunchware (Well, that’s the dream!).
