The Youth band will start Sunday 7th February in the Jo Ciantar Music Rooms, 9 McIntosh CHATSWOOD. Start time is 4.30 so arrive before 4.15 to help set up and then play at 4.30pm.
I expect the rehearsals will go till 6.00 so parents please pick up your band member at 6.15.
Why Play in a Brass Band
  • As a Brass player a Brass Band shares the melody across all the instruments in the band so the music can be much more interesting than the music your child might play in concert band at school.
  • The Willoughby Junior Band is designed as an extension to your child’s existing school band to provide more challenging pieces
  • There is the opportunity to play concerts with the fabulous A grade Senior Band and march on Anzac day on George Street

Who are we looking for

  • Brass Players looking for a challenge from Year 5 into Secondary school.
  • Players committed to focusing during rehearsals
  • Players committed to practicing the music during the week so we improve as a band
